Payment Policy

1. Payment Processing

Every payment made on SKINS24 is handled securely by our authorised payment service provider, which maintains PCI DSS Level 1 certification — the most rigorous standard of payment security in the industry. At no point does SKINS24 store, handle, or have access to your complete payment card credentials.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

The following payment methods are currently supported:

Credit and Debit Cards: Visa and Mastercard are accepted. All card-based transactions are protected by 3D Secure verification (Verified by Visa / Mastercard SecureCode) to safeguard your account.

Digital Wallets: Apple Pay and Google Pay are available for a streamlined and secure checkout experience.

We reserve the right to introduce or discontinue payment methods at any time. The payment options available to you will always be clearly shown during checkout.

3. Currency

All SKINS24 transactions are denominated and processed in Euros. If your card or payment method is held in a different currency, your issuing bank will apply its prevailing exchange rate. Any currency conversion charges are set by your financial institution and fall outside our control.

4. Pricing and Fees

All prices listed on SKINS24 already include our service fee. The amount presented at checkout represents the total you will be charged — there are no hidden costs, surcharges, or supplementary fees beyond the stated price.

Our service fee covers the costs of platform operation, payment processing, API integrations, and customer support. This fee is applied consistently across all listed items.

5. Transaction Flow

When you complete a purchase, the following sequence takes place: your payment is verified and captured by our payment processor; the selected item is reserved on the BitSkins marketplace; a Steam trade offer is created and dispatched to your Steam account; and once you accept the trade offer, the item arrives in your inventory and the order is marked as fulfilled.

Card payments are processed immediately. Should authorisation fail, the order will not proceed and no charge will be applied. In certain situations, your bank may temporarily hold the funds; these holds are released according to your bank's own policies.

6. Payment Security

We apply several layers of protection to safeguard your payment information. All payment pages are encrypted using TLS. Card transactions are authenticated through 3D Secure for Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) as mandated by the EU Payment Services Directive (PSD2). Real-time fraud monitoring systems continuously analyse transactions to detect and block unauthorised activity.

You are responsible for keeping your payment methods secure and for regularly reviewing your transaction history. If you believe your payment method has been used without your consent on our platform, contact your bank and our support team without delay.

7. Failed Payments

If a payment does not go through, the order will not be processed and the item will remain listed on the marketplace. Typical reasons for a failed payment include insufficient funds, incorrect card information, 3D Secure authentication failure, a decline by your card issuer, or geographic restrictions imposed by your bank.

You are welcome to retry the purchase using the same or an alternative payment method. If you encounter persistent payment difficulties, we recommend getting in touch with your bank or card provider.

8. Chargebacks

We strongly recommend contacting our support team to resolve any payment-related concerns before filing a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks submitted without a prior attempt to resolve the matter through our channels may be contested.

If a chargeback is initiated, your SKINS24 account will be placed on hold pending investigation. Filing a fraudulent chargeback — where the purchased item was received but the charge is disputed — constitutes a breach of our Terms of Service and may result in permanent account closure and referral to the relevant authorities.

9. Tax and VAT

Where applicable, VAT is charged in line with EU regulations. Prices displayed on the platform include any relevant VAT. If you require a tax invoice or receipt, please contact our support team with your order details.

You remain responsible for any tax liabilities that may arise from your purchases under the laws of your country of residence.

10. Transaction Limits

Certain transaction limits may apply depending on your account verification status and chosen payment method. These limits are in place to satisfy anti-money laundering obligations and to protect users against fraud. Should you require elevated limits, supplementary identity verification may be necessary.

SKINS24 reserves the right to set, adjust, or remove transaction limits at any time in accordance with regulatory requirements and our risk management policies.

11. Regulatory Compliance

Our payment operations adhere to PCI DSS security standards, the EU Payment Services Directive (PSD2) including Strong Customer Authentication mandates, relevant anti-money laundering regulations, and GDPR requirements governing the handling of payment-related personal data.
